چکیده

The respiratory protection equipment (RPE) used by health professionals consists of an essential device to prevent infectious diseases, especially those caused biological agents such as the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). current epidemiological panorama is worrying, and context creation production mask has emerged alternative RPE face public crisis worldwide. aim this work present a low-cost FFP2-like filter for reusable respirator mask. This study presents comparison different cellulose-based filtering materials performed retention testing, time saturation aerosol penetration nanoparticle (~140 nm) filtration bacterial efficiency (BFE), analysis material morphology usability. in open-source innovation, using 3D printing. Cotton disc proved be best mask, with satisfactory results performance similar that shown N95-type cotton ensured effectiveness over 6 h use, after that, (here, Delfi-TRON®) needed sanitized replenished new disc. Upon preliminary analyses efficiency, selected was biodegradable biocompatible alternative.

Design of a Multi-epitope Peptide Vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 based on Immunoinformatics Data

Background and purpose: In 2019, the world has witnessed the emergence of a virus that caused acute respiratory distress syndrome in human with high mortality rates (approximately 3.7%). So far, no effective treatment has been proven against COVID-19. This study aimed at designing a multi-epitope vaccine combining several T-cell and B-cell epitopes of the SARS-CoV-2. Materials and methods: Bas...

Stability of SARS-CoV-2 in Different Environments and the Effect of Disinfectants on its Survival

In December 2019, the prevalence of a pneumonia with unknown cause was reported in China which was later named Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by a virus called SARS-CoV-2. One of the most important ways of COVID-19 transmission is contaminated surfaces. In this review study, we investigated the stability of SARS-CoV-2 in air and on surfaces and the methods of preventing its spread R...

Efficacy of 3-Layer Felt Masks Containing Polypropylene Membranes in Particle Filtration with SARS-CoV-2 Size Range

Background and Aim: The use of a mask is an effective measure to reduce the transmission of Covid-19. Today, due to the lack of N95 masks and medical masks with good performance, felt masks are widely used due to their ease of manufacture and low cost. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of 3-layer felt masks containing polypropylene membranes in filtering particle size in ...
